Museum of Childhood
Museum of Childhood
The history of the Vologda Museum of Childhood dates back to the 1990s, when a boy named Sasha, instead of giving his toys to his younger brother, asked for a shelf to be made to display his toy army.
This shelf became the starting point of a collection that now includes around 9,000 exhibits.
The museum itself was established in 2019. Today, it features four thematic halls:
- General Hall;
- New Year's Toys;
- Toys for Boys;
- Toys for Girls.
The halls are designed as open storage spaces, where visitors can find their favorite doll, toy car, or teddy bear.
