The depository features open storage accessible to visitors, allowing them to view numerous museum collections.

A unique collection is the tile collection, which includes over 5,000 museum items. The majority of these are stove tiles produced in Veliky Ustyug.

On the second-floor gallery, a traditional craft of the Velikoustyug district is displayed—Shemogodskaya birch bark carving. In the open storage, visitors can see more than three hundred artistic items featuring openwork birch bark.
