Interactive Platform "Master's Forge" by Sergey Verkeenko

The Interactive Platform "Master's Forge" by Sergey Verkeenko is located in Ustyuzhna – a town with a long-standing blacksmithing traditions. Since ancient times, local residents have extracted wrought iron from bog ore in makeshift bloomeries, and the craft of metalworking has been passed down from generation to generation.

By prior appointment, the forge offers an interactive tour and the opportunity to take part in a masterclass led by Sergey Verkeenko, a People's Master of Russia and Master of Folk Arts and Crafts. Guests can see the process of artistic forging live, learn about the history of the craft, and try their hand under the guidance of an experienced craftsman.
