Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve
The Kirillo-Belozersky Museum-Reserve was established in 1924. In 1997, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation, it was included in the State Register of Particularly Valuable Objects of Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of the Russian Federation.
The museum complex includes the architectural ensembles of the Kirillo-Belozersky and Ferapontov Monasteries (the latter is a UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Writer V.I. Belov Apartment Museum, and wooden churches: the Church of the Deposition of the Robe from the village of Borodava (1485), the Ilyinskaya Church at Tsypino Pogost (1755), the Ilyinskaya Church in the village of Saminsky Pogost (1692–1702), and the Epiphany Church in the village of Paltoga (1733). Additionally, it includes sites in the town of Kirillov: the People's House, the Museum of the History of Kirillov, and the Tserkovnitsky House.
